A Small but Important Change: Why We’re Moving to Stainless Steel Straws

A new change is coming to our cups at Nakayah’s Cozy Corner! We will soon begin transitioning from glass straws to stainless steel straws, and although it may seem like a small update, it is one we have considered carefully.

Glass straws are beautiful and coordinate perfectly with the clear, delicate appearance of our Libbey cups. However, they are still made of glass, which means they can chip or break if dropped, bumped, or stored incorrectly.

Our cups are meant to be enjoyed during real life: while reading on the couch, working at your desk, running errands, gaming, or settling in for a cozy evening. We wanted a straw that could better keep up with those everyday moments.

Stainless steel straws are reusable, sturdy, and much less likely to break when accidentally dropped. They are also easy to clean and can be used again and again, making them a practical addition to your favorite cup.

We know that stainless steel has a different look and feel from glass, but we believe the added durability will make your cup easier and more comfortable to enjoy. You will still receive the same adorable designs and cozy experience, just with a sturdier straw by your side.

This transition will happen gradually, so you may continue to see glass straws included with some cups while our current supplies last. Product listings will be updated so you can see what is included with your chosen cup before ordering.

As always, this change is part of our commitment to improving our products as Nakayah’s Cozy Corner grows. We want every detail to feel intentional, from the design on your cup to the accessories included with it.

Cute should still be practical, and we think stainless steel straws give us the best of both.
